On Friday night, Harlow and I went to the ballet at Lincoln Center to see one of her best friends perform in Sleeping Beauty. This was not a regular kids dance recital. This was the New York City Ballet with professionals and their prima ballerina and a handful of kids like Harlow's friend Johanna, who auditioned to perform alongside them as part of the company. (The kids even had understudy kids!) Translation: The tickets were not cheap. But Harlow really wanted to go to support her friend and I thought,
whatever you and Mike are doing, it’s amazing. Harlow has the heart of gold and she’s going to do big things! I can’t wait to say, “I have “known”/followed her since she was 3!!! I know i will say those words some day. 🧡 Congratulations to Johanna as well.
What a sweet memory for you both to have from this night - it's hard to swallow when we recognize that our littles are getting bigger but these special moments make you appreciate all the new facets they gain as they grow. Thank you for sharing!

Maybe Harlow will be up there one day! One of our neighbors started ballet classes in high school and miraculously was in the American Ballet company.

This made me cry! Our 11 year old was in her studio’s production of nutcracker and it meant soooo much to her that friends came to see her!
