Same! I'm rarely on socials (and if I am, it's brief and things are buried). I read this as SOON as I see it in my inbox. Loving long-form, keep going Ilana!
I've heard from a few people that want to keep up, even though they are taking a break from instagram, so I thought a little paragraph at the bottom with some links to my favorite stuff I've posted recently would be a good way to do it.
I love this format! What a wonderful collection of updates, and the amount of amazing opportunities you had to turn down in order to see Harlow as Matilda is a) completely on brand, and b) completely the right decision. Break a leg, Harlow!
Same. I was a nanny for a little girl for nearly 5 years. I don’t think I’ve ever cried as much as I did after saying goodbye that last day (even though I still saw her occasionally afterward). It’s a special responsibility to care for a little while in such an up-close, consistent way, and my time with her shaped me into the mom I am today.
How did I miss Harlow's Koreatown vlog!! Also break a leg Harlow, I know you will knock it out of the park! And lastly nothing says love like turning down some crazy good opportunities to watch what's most important! ❤️
I usually don’t read this way but you hooked me with the story about your nanny and then I read the whole thing! I even heard your voice reading it in my head!
I love your insta/facebook posts, honestly they are some of my favorites to see all the fun things you are doing. AND to get ideas since my daughter is a similar age as yours. But i do feel like when i am on instagram lately i have to search you out. i have heard other creators are complaining about this too recently.
Very excited for Harlow, good luck to her! My daughter has a solo in Newsies Jr. next week and is very excited. We had to watch the Disney version from 1992 with Christian Bale (my favorite version) last weekend. :)
I have never read the long form, but needed the full story about Ruth. Loved Harlow's Korea Town vlog. She gave my bestie and I a couple places to go next time we come to NYC
I get so excited when I see this arrive in my inbox. I almost always stop what I am doing to read it.
This is honestly so good for me to know!
Same for me too!

Me too.
Same!!!!
Same!
I love reading long form! I’m decreasing my social use but it makes me feel like I miss out on so much in the MSU because I’m not constantly on it.

I love this idea and way to catch up! It seems if I’m not in daily, many of my Insta favorites aren’t at the top so I have to search them out.
love it!
I like that idea!

Your long-form posts are my favorite! And break a leg, Harlow!
Ohhhh as a former nanny, this one really tugged at my heartstrings! Love you sharing your relationship with Ruth over all these years. ♥️

Liking and commenting. Wanting you to know that I read all the way to the end. Appreciating you. Thanks for sharing your authenticity.
I love your Substack. This was a particularly special one.
I even love Ruth.
Harlow better know how amazingly special she is. I think that’s a lot to give up. But, honestly Harlow will probably be better.
Congratulations Mike!
That’s a great Olay ad! As per usual. I had missed it. Thanks for the link.
And, Mazzy - I’ve been seeing those beautiful sunsets and happy smiles.

I love your posts!! I remember saying goodbye to our nanny and it was so hard. She holds a special place in our hearts!!

I love the format!
Good luck Harlow for your performance! We all know you’ll smash it!
Ruth is such a gem! I'm glad to see that she has another family to love.
We are word game people at my house, too. My 11yo asks each day if I'm a Genius yet.

Aww!! My heart has and will always have a special piece for each of you 🫶🏻
