Hi! I'm Kristi! I live in Portland Oregon with my husband and two daughters (ages 11 and 8). I work part time as an environmental engineer so I can keep my career on life support while still being available for the kids.

I feel like I only have glimpses of my former life

or what I wanted from life - I used to have lots of hobbies and interests, but those fell by the wayside when I had kids. And being a parent definitely wasn't what I expected. I often think of parenting similar to pregnancy trimesters. The first trimester (when they were little) sucked, and right now we're solidly in the second trimester which is awesome and amazing, but we're bracing for the third trimester of adolescence and puberty. We're currently enjoying the second trimester while we can :-)
