This is the last post (for now) in my series about dyslexia, in which I’m writing about our parenting journey since we discovered that Harlow has a language based learning difference back in 2nd grade. I have already talked about identifying the early signs, what to expect when your child gets tested, sharing the diagnosis with your child and our decision to switch schools. Today, I’m going to write about Harlow’s experience in her new school, how their style of learning is different and how she is doing now.

ADJUSTING TO A SPECIALIZED SCHOOL

How did Harlow feel once she started the new school? Do you think she felt less alone once she was surrounded by kids with similar learning differences? How quickly did you notice a difference?
