This is the fourth post in my series about dyslexia, where I am answering reader questions about our parenting journey since we discovered that Harlow has a language based learning difference back in 2nd grade. I have already talked about identifying the early signs and what to expect when you get your child tested. Today, I’m going to answer all your questions about sharing the diagnosis with Harlow and our decision to switch to a specialized school. Keep in mind, I am not an expert. This is just our personal experience.

SHARING THE DIAGNOSIS

How did you explain Harlow’s diagnosis to her? Did you talk about it with her prior to the diagnosis?
